Original etching by Paul-Adrien Bouroux, signed in the plate, Printed on Hollande van Gelder wove paper by A. & M. Vernant. From copy XXV of 25 hors-commerce authors and artists' copies of Assise (Assisi) by André Pérate, with etchings by Paul-Adrien Bouroux, which was printed in an edition of 250 numbered copies, plus the 25 not-for-sale copies. 21 copies were printed on Japan paper, all the rest were on Hollande. There were also 20 separate suites of the etchings on Hollande, and 40 suites of the etchings in an their first state. Sold with a copy of the justification page signed in ink by Paul-Adrien Bouroux, and with a copy of the inscription on the front endpaper that shows this was a gift from Bouroux to the artist Émile Malo-Renault: "Pour mon ami Malo-Renault, de tout coeur, P.-A. Bouroux." This print has a few fox marks in the top margin, well away from the image and easily framed out. There are no marks on the image itself. Condition: Excellent, see description.
