IDBURY PRINTS

The Barbizon School of plein-air painters immediately preceded, and paved the way for, the Impressionists. We have original etchings by prominent Barbizon artists such as Charles-François Daubigny, Henri Harpignies, Paul Huet, Hippolyte Camille Delpy, and Théophile Chauvel. We also have interpretative etchings after Barbizon artists such as Jean-François Millet, Camille Jean-Baptiste Corot, Théodore Rousseau, Charles Émile Jacque, Narcisse Diaz, Jules Dupré, and Adolphe Monticelli. Although Gustave Courbet is not strictly a Barbizon artist, we have also included etchings after Courbet in this category.
