JAKOB VAN RUYSDAEL (Dutch / c.1625-1682)

Jakob Isaakszoon van Ruysdael (or van Ruisdael) was the son of the painter Isaac van Ruysdael, and nephew of Salomon van Ruysdael. Like his father and uncle, Jakob was essentially a painter of landscapes. Hobbema was one of his pupils.
