ANDRE-CHARLES COPPIER (French / 1867-1948)

André-Charles Coppier was a distinguished etcher and engraver, and also the leading expert on the etchings of Rembrandt. Coppier also compiled the catalogue raisonné of the etchings of Albert Besnard. Coppier was born in Annecy. He studied in the atelier of Feyen-Perrin. Coppier exhibited both original and interpretative etchings at the Salon des Champs-Elysées to great acclaim.
