BELA GYULA KRIEGER (Hungarian / 1861-?)

Bela Gyula Krieger was a significant figure in Hungarian Art Nouveau. In the early 20th century Krieger lived and worked in Paris, and contributed etched plates of art objects, and also original etchings, to art revues such as the Gazette des Beaux-Arts and the Revue d'Art ancien et moderne. For etchings by Krieger after major designers such as Émile Gallé, see under the designer's name.
