1919-1980)
Reynold Arnould was born in Le Havre, and studied at the Beaux-Arts there. In 1939 he won the Grand Prix de Rome. Arnould's early work is Cubist in inspiration, turning gradually more abstract over the years. There was a retrospective of the art of Reynold Arnould at the Grand Palais, Paris in 1983, and a smaller one at the Maison de la Culture du Havre in 2005.
