HENRI CHARLES MANGUIN (French / 1874-1949)

Henri Charles Manguin was a central figure in the Fauve movement, and was particularly close to Matisse, Marquet, and Rouault; he was also influenced by his friendships with Bonnard and Signac. As a printmaker, Henri Manguin produced etchings, drypoints, and lithographs. Most were published only after Manguin's death - some in an album published by Bruker in an edition of 200, others individually in editions of 60 or 75.
