ALFRED DELAUNOIS (Belgian / 1876-1941)

Painter and printmaker Alfred Napoléon Delaunois was born in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Belgium, and died in Heverlee. Alfred Delaunois studied under Constantin Meunier. Delaunois regularly exhibited at Salons in both Belgium and France; he specialised in painting interiors, often of churches. Alfred Delaunois was director of the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Louvain.
