Lisa Milroy was born in Vancouver, Canada. She studied in Britain at St Martin's and Goldsmith's, and lives and works in London. One of the most highly-regarded of contemporary artists, Lisa Milroy has 16 works in the collection of the Tate Gallery. Milroy's early work played games with repetition, and also revealed an ongoing fascination with fabrics and patterns.
