ARMAND BERTON (French / 1854-1927)

Armand Berton was born in Paris. He studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs under Laemlein and at the Beaux-Arts, Paris, under Aimé Millet and Alexandre Cabanel, but dropped out when he became deaf. Berton continued his artistic education alone, haunting the museums of Paris. Armand Berton exhibited at various Paris Salons from 1875 to 1921. Armand Berton's printmaking included both lithographs and etchings.
