PIERRE DESBOIS (French / 1873-1939)

Pierre François Alexandre Desbois was particularly known for his meticulous, atmospheric etchings of Paris, where he was born, lived, and died. Pierre Desbois exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, winning a bronze medal in 1926, a silver in 1928, and a gold in 1938. Desbois was also a member of the Société des Aquafortistes and of La Gravure Originale.
