FIRMIN BOUISSET (French /
1859-1925)
Firmin Étienne Maurice Bouisset was born in Moissac. He was a student of Cabanel at the Beaux-arts, Paris, and first exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1880. A contributor to L'Estampe moderne, Firmin Bouisset is best remembered today as a lithographic poster designer, for instance for chocolat Menier and Job cigarette papers. Bouisset also contributed to the satirical journal L'Assiette au beurre.
