ANDRE DESLIGNIERES (French / 1880-1968)

The painter and wood-engraver André Deslignières was born in Nevers in 1880. Deslignières studied at the École Germain Pilon in Paris. A member of the Salon d'Automne, André Deslignières exhibited at many of the Paris Salons, including des Artistes Français, de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, des Artistes Indépendants, and des Tuileries. He also participated in various international exhibitions, including Amsterdam in 1914, Chicago in 1930-31, Warsaw in 1933 and 1936, Milan and Vienna in 1946.
