ERIC FITCH DALGLISH (English / 1894-1966)

Eric Fitch Dalglish was born in London. Dalglish was a naturalist, who illustrated books by himself and others with his own wood engravings, distinguished by their fine white line and their acute sympathy for the natural world. Eric Dalglish learned wood engraving from his close friend Paul Nash, around 1919; three of Dalglish's early engravings were exhibited at the opening exhibition of the Society of Wood Engravers in 1920.
