HEINE RATH (German / 1873-1920)

The painter and printmaker Heine Rath was born in Berlin, and died in Stuttgart, where he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Art from 1913 to 1920. Heine Rath studied under Eschke and Bracht. He is best remembered today for his woodcuts of German towns and flower studies.
