KARL ELLERMANN (German / 1887-1910)

Karl Ellermann was born in Bielefeld and died in Munich. His promising artistic career was cut short by his premature death at the age of just 23. Ellermann is therefore one of the most tantalizing figures in the history of German Expressionism; he exhibited alongside fellow Expressionists such as August Macke and Bernhard Pankok, having studied under Otto Ubbelohde and Hermann Groeber. His work is rare on the market.
