LADISLAV RUSEK (Czech / 1927-2012)

The Czech printmaker Ladislav Rusek was born in the village of Hrabstvi in 1927. He studied at the university of Olomouc, where he was eventually to be made Professor of Graphics. Ladislav Rusek was particularly fond of the linocut, though he also produced wood engravings and etchings. His work was influenced by Jugendstil.
