GEORGES BELLENGER (French / 1847-1918)

The painter and lithographer Georges Bellenger was born in Rouen. He was the brother of the wood engravers Albert, Clément Édouard, and Fernand Bellenger. Georges Bellenger studied under Lecoq de Boisbaudran and Jules Laurens. He exhibited paintings at the Salon de Paris from 1864, and in London from 1875 to 1879. He is best-known as a lithographer.
