EDME BOUCHARDON (French / 1698-1762)

The sculptor and draughtsman Edmé Bouchardon was born in Chaumont (Haute-Marne), the son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Bouchardon, and brother of the sculptor Jacques Philippe Bouchardon. Taught by his father and subsequently by Guillaume Coustou le Jeune, Edmé Bouchardon won the Prix de Rome in 1722.
