PAUL RAJON (French / 1843-1888)

The etcher Paul Adolphe Rajon was born in Dijon, and died in Auvers-sur-Oise, where he had moved to be near his close friend Charles-François Daubigny. Rajon studied at the Beaux-Arts, Paris under Pils, Gaucherel, and Léopold Flameng. He made his debut at the Salon de Paris in 1868, winning medals in 1869, 1870, 1873, and 1878.
