MICHEL RODDE (French / 1913-)

The painter and lithographer Michel Rodde was born in La Grand’ Combe, Gard. In 1951, with Jean Commère, Michel Rodde won the Grand Prix Othon Friesz, launching himself on a successful career that has lasted to the present day. For over 30 years Rodde has based himself in Provence, in the village of Montségur. Michel Rodde is a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and an Officier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
