Dorothea Tanning was married to the Surrealist Max Ernst, and is herself an important figure in Surrealism, and one of its most notable female artists. We have lithographs by Dorothea Tanning and also a suite of colour etchings for the erotic novella La Marée (The Tide) by her friend André Pieyre de Mandiargues.
