LUDWIG PASSINI (Austrian / 1832-1903)
Ludwig Passini was born in Vienna, the son of the painter-engraver Johann Passini. He studied at the Vienna Academy, and then at Leipzig under Carl Werner. He worked in Rome and Venice. In 1874 Ludwig Passini was elected a member of the Berlin Academy; he was also an honorary member of the Academies of Vienna and Venice.
