CHARLES LAPOSTELET (French / 1824-1890)
Charles Lapostelet was born in Velars (Côte-d'Or). He was a pupil of Léon Cogniet. Lapostelet exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1848, winning medals in 1870 and 1882; he also exhibited at the Royal Academy in London in 1872. He died in Domène (Isère).
