FRANCOIS CHAPUIS (French /
1928-)
François Chapuis was born in Beaune (Côte d'Or). He studied in Nancy, and from 1948-1950 at the Beaux-Arts, Paris. Chapuis is celebrated for his work in stained glass - he worked on the restoration of more than 250 churches - and for his sculpture, in which he was a pioneer in the use of plastics. As a member of the group Les graveurs lorrains, he also created lithographs.
