FRANCOIS MAX BUGNICOURT (French /
1868-1936)
The landscape painter and engraver François Max Bugnicourt was born in Bordeaux, where he studied under the painter Cabié. He exhibited with the Salon des Artistes Français from 1896-1909. In 1923 Max Bugnicourt was elected a member of the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, with whom he exhibited from 1923-1932. There is a street in Bordeaux named after him.
