SHUSAKU ARAKAWA (Japanese / 1936-)
The Japanese artist and architect Shusaku Arakawa was born in Nagoya. Arakawa has lived in New York since 1961. With his partner Madeline Gins, Shusaku Arakawa founded the Architectural Body Research Foundation. His art, influenced by Marcel Duchamp, concerns itself with signs and signifiers.
