EMILE BOILVIN (French / 1845-1899)

The painter and etcher Émile Boilvin was born in Metz (Moselle). He studied under Pils at the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris. His painting Après la harangue, of which we possess his own etched version, was a success at the 1868 Salon de Paris.
