GEORGE HENRY BOUGHTON (American /
1833-1905)
George Henry Boughton was born in Norwich, England. His parents emigrated to the USA when he was one year old. Boughton studied art at Albany, New York, and then in Paris with Édouard Frère. Boughton settled in England in 1862, exhibiting with the Royal Academy. His art was influenced by that of Frederick Walker.
