Image size: 150 x 95 mm
Edition: Size of edition unknown; extremely scarce – Signed in plate
Original Impressionist etching by Norbert Goeneutte, signed N. Goeneutte in the plate. The scene is the Boulevard de Clichy, then a Bohemian artists' quarter, viewed from the studio windows of Goeneutte's close friend, the painter and etcher Henri Guérard. Published by Paris à l'eau-forte. Printed by Delâtre on laid paper. The extreme edges of the sheet have darkened slightly, where they were not covered by the eching's tissue guard. This etching is closely related to the painting The Boulevard de Clichy under snow, in the National Gallery, London. A painting with the same name was sold by Christies, London, in 1967. Ref: Duvivier 107. Condition: Excellent, see description.
