Original etching by Léon Lhermitte, signed L. Lhermitte in the plate. Etched by Lhermitte after his own painting, "The Lectern", exhibited in the Salon of 1873. Printed by Delâtre on thin China paper and pasted onto a page of the weekly journal Paris à l'eau-forte, of which Frédéric Regamey was the art editor. There is text below and on the reverse. The backing sheet has yellowed slightly, not affecting the etching. Condition: Excellent, see description.
