Original etching by John Absolon, one of a series of six etchings of the rural months executed for the short-lived First Series of Joseph Cundall's journal The Playmate: A Pleasant Companion for Spare Hours in 1847. Printed on book wove paper. The image is fresh with a couple of small marks, the margins of the sheet are somewhat tired, there are some pencil marks on the reverse. Condition: See description.
