Original etching by John Absolon, one of a series of six etchings of the rural months executed for the short-lived First Series of Joseph Cundall's journal The Playmate: A Pleasant Companion for Spare Hours in 1847. Printed on book wove paper. The image is fresh and unmarked, the margins of the sheet are somewhat tired and marked, especially down the righthand edge. Condition: See description.
