WILLEM MARIS (Dutch / 1844-1910)
Willem Maris was born in The Hague, the youngest of three artist brothers, Jacob, Matthijs, and Willem Maris. Willem was taught by his brothers. The influence of Corot is strongly felt in the work of Willem Maris. He is particularly known for landscapes with cows, and ducks on ponds.
