PETER FENDI (Austrian /
1796-1842)
Peter Fendi was born in Vienna, where he studied under Fischer, Maurer, and Lampi. In 1836 he was elected a member of the Vienna Academy of Fine Art. Fendi was employed as a draughtsman recording the Imperial collection of antiquities and medals. As a painter he is known for his genre scenes.
