PASCAL DAGNAN-BOUVERET (French / 1852-1929)

Pascale Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret was born in Paris. Dagnan-Bouveret was a painter and pastellist who specialized in rural and oriental scenes. A pupil of Gérome and Corot, Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret won the 2nd Prix de Rome in 1876. Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret was closely associated with Bastien-Lepage. Dagnan-Bouveret only produced two original prints - one drypoint and one lithograph - and our prints are interpretative etchings after his paintings.
