LUDWIG ADRIAN RICHTER (German /
1803-1884)
Ludwig Adrian Richter was born in Dresden. He studied printmaking under his father, the engraver Carl August Richter, a professor at the Dresden Academy of Fine Art. Ludwig Adrian Richter travelled to Italy in 1823, spending time in Rome and Naples, where he produced many works. In 1836 he was made professor of landscape and animal painting at Dresden.
