EMILE-JEAN RENE MENARD (French / 1862-1930)

Marie Auguste Émile René Ménard was a contributor to L'Estampe moderne. He was born in Paris, into an artistic family - his father René Joseph Ménard and uncle Louis Nicolas Ménard were both noted painters. Émile René Ménard first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1883. Émile René Ménard was part of the Bande Noire group that centred around Charles Cottet.
