ELIE DELAUNAY (French / 1828-1891)
The painter Jules Élie Delaunay was born in Nantes. He was a pupil of Flandrin and Lamothe; he won the Prix de Rome in 1856. Among Élie Delaunay's own pupils was Georges Rouault.
