ANSELM FEUERBACH (German / 1829-1880)

Anselm Feuerbach was born in Spire, and died in Venice, where he lived in his last decades. Before Venice, the restless Feuerbach had worked in Düsseldorf, Munich, Amiens, Paris (where he worked alongside Thomas Couture), and Vienna (where he taught at the Academy).
